if you want a proper answer, go to the Lego site. but for my answer, i turn to Microserfs (see my history- part two):
"Lego is a potent three-dimensional modelling tool and a language in itself." (That's on page 82 of my paperback.) I take issue with the line "Lego is indestructible", as it can be damaged- some of my favourite baseplates are sunburnt, but in all it's a good page.
For me it's a hobby, a major pay to physical object sink, and something I dream about, which probably means it's an obsession. Oh well.
