Welcome to Stopped Clockstopped clock the unofficial orbital webspaceHmm. At the start of this, there are two sounds from the two speakers in syncopation and it sounds dislocated, so it's just like a rush. The harmony is very clear, then a sample comes in and there you are, harmonic dislocation. Why does it make you feel like you're on drugs? The same elements of the music change. The notes don't change, but they develop. It's like changing colour on sound almost, which imitates your altering viewpoint- seeing the same object in a new context. The pulsing beat is important, then there are more sounds and it's just as if something crawled out of your brain... it accesses notes like your head unlocks bits of your brain when you've taken drugs. Everything changes perspective, is brighter, different. That's what makes you so happy. James Doheny |
