Links
The usual for a links page: a set of Orbital information elsewhere on the Internet (mainly on the Web).
Orbital Information
UK/ Europe
- The official Orbital pages, which you'd hope would be more up-to-date than my unofficial pages (and during the release of In Sides, they were).
- [ On this site you can find some NME reviews and interviews of 'In Sides' and the subsequent tour not available here. These are in the archive/ interview section. A detailed set of URLs is being saught. This site requires a frames-capable browser. ]
- Live RealAudio from the Albert Hall, London (designed for a 28.8 modem) (as supported by Rise)
- An Interview from the N-23 Network, Manchester, October '94
- [old] Orbital t-shirts are now available over the Web from Underworld. (I've heard reports this is broken, try underworld's top level instead.
- A poster of the 'Snivilisation' cover can be ordered from GB Posters
- [old] UK Dance review of Snivilisation should still be available.
US
- [old] A mirror of the official site.
- Both the last link, and the ones in the following list, are in the Orbital section of Hyperreal.
- [old] Samples of Orbital at Hyperreal: (sun .au format) Lush 3.1,
Lush 3.2 and
Remind.
- [old] (Might be a temporary link): the samples from the Orbital sample competition earlier this year.
- [old] Another sample, this time of Halcyon+on+on (pc .wav format).
- The best discography of Orbital on the net (mine's less comprehensive). Also available in plain text.
- More Orbital information via ftp is at XMission; it is in the directory /pub/lists/orbital. This link is now fixed!
- An article and interview from Apple's Atlanta 96 site, July '96
- Another interview, from xlr8r (in August '94?).
- From Seconds at IUMA, an interview from January '95 (38k)
- A final interview (not sure if it's actually in the States) from Convulsion, which I think's from '93 or '94 (18k)
- Reviews (from various sources) of Diversions, Untitled 2 and In Sides.
- Live RealAudio from the Metro, Chicago (designed for a 14.4 modem)
- Wondered about the lyrics in The Box? Wonder no more.
Other dance/ tekno information
UK/ Europe
- [old] UK Dance information; lots of album reviews and a London record shop guide.
- The excellently designed Global Commmunication page; also Reload and Link discographies.
- [old] More good design (albeit some large files) from Warp Records web site.
US
- Hyperreal - the tekno music archive. Search this huge resource yourself, it's worth the effort.
- [old] Comprensive band list and other music information, by Michael Hauber.
Disclaimers: This page is overdue for a revamp. It needs some sort of reorganising, and a lot of the liks should be integrated into the whole. Some of these links (marked with the text [old] haven't been checked in a long time (nine months). It's on my priority list, but don't be surprised if a few (or even a lot) of them are broken.
As you'd expect, I'm not responsible for any of the stuff on the pages you may link to. If any of these links fail, please email me at PMison@aol.com
